I am wondering if you can relate wordpress users roles with organizers, in that way, managing users/organizers could be more easy.
Organizers selector could be populated from organizers and, also, from wordpress users list, and every time one wordpress user access system ( Frontend Event submission, you could check if the current user is an organizer or have perms to publish events and allow to select as organizer from the organizer list.
For us, an particularly, for all kinds of organizations like ours, could be more interesting. We are an association with a list of associated people who are allowed to publish their own events.
