It would be very helpful if MEC could include an option to temporarily hide all events within a certain category (e.g., “Weekly Program”) for a specified time period (such as during holidays), while keeping events from other categories (e.g., “Holidays”) visible. After this period, the visibility settings should automatically revert to the previous state, eliminating the need for manual adjustments to each individual event.
Benefits for users:
– saves time especially when managing large event lists or seasonal/program-specific changes
– automates category-based visibility control based on time schedules
Background:
We use MEC for our community center to display our events. We usually have irregular events and a regular weekly program. During holidays, the regular weekly program is replaced by a special one-time holiday program. After that, the regular weekly program resumes. At the moment, we need to touch every single event and add for every day an exception. This is really a very time consuming task. And it needs to be done for every future holidays again.
